Reading Is Our Satisfaction Blog Review

The world of "Claw" as told by Lucian Bane. A new six part series that I know is going to rock the socks right off my feet. This first installment was an introduction that blew me away. Dante, alias Claw, has spent the majority of his life locked away, now out he is finding his feet and adjusting. He's offered the position of 'healing' a woman and takes it. Rin, a motherless wife who has a complex life, is about to meet a man who will change everything she has ever thought and known. Both characters are full of complexities, that I know Lucian will broaden and enlighten us on over the forthcoming books. He has a way about his writing that drags you in and you just don't want to escape. He has done that here yet again. This series is going to be epic - I'm already impatiently awaiting the next weekly installment.

Rin watched the man from upstairs in her bedroom. She made sure she couldn’t be seen. He was terrifying. Those scars on his neck and face. And his body too she realized as she watched him do laps like an Olympic swimmer. Her stomach got sick at thinking about her husband. He’d not called her except to let her know when the "healer" was coming. He didn’t have time to talk. He said he’d call that night. She hoped he didn’t. She didn’t want to hear his voice. He jumped out of the pool and she backed away from the window, still straining her neck to see. Her heart hammered in her chest as he grabbed the towel on the chair. The ripple of muscle was hypnotizing and she fought to tear her eyes away, feeling the burn of sin. But she couldn’t help it. She’d seen Dary’ls chest only a couple of times, once not long after they were married. She’d never forget the sting of that moment and how furious he was. “You don’t look at me naked,” he’d said. “It’s not right. Sex isn’t about lust, it’s about life.”

Reading Is Our Satisfaction Blog Review

Just give me a few moments to gather my thoughts!!Holy Batwings, Batman!!! That was WOW!!! Talk about bringing the BOOM!!! Picking up where Book One finished, Lucian has continued the story of educating Rin. There's a few twists and turns in this one - but that's what I've come to expect from Lucian's prose. I'm loving Dante more and more. But Rin, what an exceptionally strong woman. To suffer as she does and remain faithful - amazing!!! As for Daryl - he gets what he deserves!!! You floored me with this one Mr Bane. Well done!!! Bring on Book 3

“Rin,” he said firmly, shutting off the water and facing her as Claw. “I’m not going to beg this from you. I’m not going to coerce it out of you, or force it. You’re going to give it willingly, or we need to end it now. Because once I start, I won’t stop till I’m done. You have to give me the same commitment.” He pushed off the counter and sat at the snack bar right next to where she stood, breathless. He angled his head until she gave him her complete attention, both eyes locked hard to his. “If you need a day to think about it? To figure out if you can, or can’t? Fast, pray, whatever it is you do?” he whispered. “You do that. But once you give me that answer …” he shook his head slowly at her. “We’re not turning back.” She held his gaze for many seconds and it was like an open book to her conflicted, terrified mind. To let go. To trust a complete stranger with this kind of thing. All of it was against every grain in that head of hers, and both Dante and Claw had no problems understanding that. Many seconds later, she lifted her head a little, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. “All the praying has been done. All the fasting, the crying, the begging,” she whispered, never taking her eyes from his. "You do what you came here to do." She nodded slowly now. "But whatever you do. Mr. Baston … don’t you even try to take God from me. For that, I will crush your balls.” Dante’s heart hammered at the hard gleam in those pretty eyes. Wow. She was going to be a worthy adversary in this, wasn't she? He was vaguely aware she was new waters, new territory. New everything. “You can be sure I’m going to take many things from you, Rin.” He smiled a little then. “But never … would I ever … take away the most beautiful part of you.”

Claw (Book 3)

Five Star Review by Jan Kinder

Blew It Up.That's what this book did, Dante came in and tore through like a wrecking ball and little miss Rin really didn't stand a chance. The emotions in both of them where like riding a freaking tilt a whirl, desire, hurt, guilt, love, compassion, anger, misunderstand it all ran it course. While turning the pages I couldn't help but cheer him on as he tried to make help her and make her understand what they were up against. The twists of depraved desires of those trying to stop people from obtaining a life of bliss. Dante will do what it takes to shine light on it all one way or another with or without Rin's cooperation.

This is one of my favorite parts:

“You’re not fucking healed! You’re broken, he broke the fuck out of you Rin, don’t you see that? He broke your body and he broke your mind and he broke your heart. He’s been killing you from the day he signed a piece of paper, a piece of shit paper that has you thinking you’re married, but you’re not! According to God, he divorced you when he hurt you, when he fucked another woman, don’t you see that? I mean you know the scriptures, Rin, why are you pretending that this dumb motherfucker can break the commandments of God and not be required to answer for it? But you have to?”

Brilliant continuation to the story, anxious to see what comes next. Will Blake uncover more, will Rin finally see the truth, and what about Tin Tin, thinking theirs so much left to be discovered.

Dante had planned to go very slow. To be careful. But once Claw took over, he took over, and now his mouth had other devouring ideas. Fuck slow, fuck careful, fuck easy. He was past ready to devastate her soft sweet body and mind with pleasure. He left her lips with a deep groan, his teeth raking along the silk of her neck. Her sweet cries unleashed a fury in him to devastate as he straddled her body. This first time, he’d allow her to hide in the darkness and feel what he did, but the next time—and every time after—he’d make her watch. He’d make her beg. He’d make her tell him where to touch, how to touch and how much she fucking wanted him to touch.

About Author Lucian Bane

I’m a husband and author, and I may be a little religious about both. I like writing hot, dirty, gritty sex and encapsulating it in the delicate white silk of devotion, commitment, and maybe even the psychotic obsession between two lovers. To me, that is true religion-- pure, holy, and un-defiled before God. And I wouldn't mind at all if I inspire people to this lost phenomenon with my naughty scribblings.
